Over 100 Origami Designs to Choose From Our Kyoto Ninenzaka Origami Workshop offers a wide variety of designs, from simple pouches to Hina dolls for Hinamatsuri (Girls’ Day) and samurai helmets for Children’s Day. Experience seasonal projects while exploring the delicate artistry of washi origami.
Comprehensive Basics Instruction Learn fundamental folding techniques, such as mountain folds, valley folds, and basic shapes (triangles, squares, diamonds). Start with simple designs and gradually advance to more complex folds, ensuring a sense of accomplishment for beginners.
Diverse Themed Projects Choose from a range of themes, including animals (cats, dogs), food (sushi, rice balls), and vehicles (cars, airplanes). These projects are fun and engaging for both adults and children.
A Fusion of Traditional Craftsmanship and Creativity Explore a unique collection of approximately 100 origami designs, from traditional works to beginner-friendly projects. Create your own masterpiece while enjoying the beauty of washi and the captivating world of origami.
Kimono is not included. You are free to take photos during the lesson. Please refrain from taking videos during the instructor's demonstration. Please wear or bring socks. If you come barefoot, you can purchase socks for an additional fee. During the busy seasons of the year-end and New Year holidays, spring vacation, summer vacation, and autumn, the price will change to the busy season rate. Thank you for your understanding. The lesson time is approximately 1 hour.
