  3. Proper Brush Handling Receive detailed instruction on how to hold the brush correctly and adjust brush pressure.

  4. Grinding Ink and Preparing for Calligraphy Experience the meditative process of grinding ink and preparing for your work while enjoying the soothing scent of the ink.

  5. Basic Brush Techniques Practice essential brushwork techniques, such as drawing lines, strokes, and "dots" or "sweeps," while mastering the basics of Japanese calligraphy.

  6. Writing Basic Kanji Characters Learn to write simple kanji characters while focusing on vertical and horizontal balance and letter placement.
